Referred to as "Halong Bay on land"
The Trang An Landscape Complex, often referred to as "Halong Bay on land," is located in Ninh Binh city, approximately 90 km southeast of Hanoi. The Trang An Scenic Complex includes three adjacent protected areas: the historical and cultural relic site of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, the Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic area, and the Hoa Lu Special-use Primitive Forest. In addition, Bai Dinh, the largest pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and Mua Cave, which is famous for its stunning beauty, are also located within the Trang An eco-tourism site. Visitors to Trang An can take boat trips through various caves and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The area consists of 31 valleys and 50 cross-water caves and is home to 600 species of plants and over 200 species of animals, many of which are listed in Vietnam's Red Book of endangered species. In addition to exploring the natural beauty, visitors can also engage in exciting activities such as kayaking and enjoying local specialty dishes.
